75% Cabernet Franc, 15% Chambourcin, 10% Merlot.
We had a terrible growing year in 2018. So much moisture and under an Organic program we lost our grapes. So like so many, grapes were purchased outside of Virginia. Our pick was a CabFranc from Lodi California. Once the grapes arrived we blended them with Barrel Oaks Winery’s Chambourcin and Merlot to give this wine a perfect balance. I have not seen many wines that go with such an assortment of foods. It drinks well on it’s own and is fruit froward and well balanced. A very delicious wine.
